I'll overwhelm 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" his opponent as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time unified title holder Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mentality

"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will genuinely try to cause him pain. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally famous for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul rather targeted former Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, criticized British rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his rival's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has primarily boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since turning professional.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

Nevertheless, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in round four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly under discussion for 2026.

"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul declared.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the usual confrontation, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the fight is really happening.
