The Animated Series' Creator Has Seen Your Second Season Bingo Cards — And She Has Good News

The highly-awaited Season 2 of the adult animated musical series Hazbin Hotel debuts on the streaming platform soon, and audience theories has been widespread.

Season 1 introduces a diverse group of personalities living within Hell and Heaven, sets them at odds accompanied by songs about their clashes, and builds heated competitions and emotional bonds that fuel audience devotion.

The fandom's stated hopes for season 2 vary widely, but certain threads recur frequently: Will Angel Dust break free from Valentino? Will we find out more about the mysterious "deal" affecting the enigmatic Alastor? Might certain characters' relationships evolve?

"Naturally, I don't make the show with fan service as the main goal," the showrunner stated recently. "But I feel like me being a devotee of the series means there's a lot of it just naturally. I also am eager for these things, and I hope some of these things to happen, and clearly some of these things are meant to happen in the show!"

The creator reveals her long-term vision is for five seasons of Hazbin Hotel. Seasons 3 and 4 have already been green-lit by Prime Video and A24, which finance the series.

That could imply viewers have to be patient for some of the major resolutions — but they may be surprised at how quickly the new season moves, and how much of what they're waiting for unfolds this season.

"I feel like people are going to be highly satisfied," the creator notes. "We get some firsts. I think we receive some really amazing reveals, some really cool backstories, and even just simple things, [like] I hope this character gets a song. […] We're going to hear additional musical numbers from the characters we didn't get to hear before."

The creator is well-informed of the theories and desires about season 2 — particularly in the form of fan bingo cards.

"I've seen a couple people make a prediction grid about the new season," she says. "Naturally I can't post it, but I've already completed a few items, and almost all of them have almost a bingo. I thought, Oh, if you put this [event] in this spot, it would be a bingo. So that leads me to believe we accomplish much [of what fans are waiting for in this season], because I was like, Oh, there's multiple potential bingos on this card. So that brings me joy."

Hazbin Hotel the second season launches on Prime Video on October 29.
